DOUG'S HOROLOGY COLLECTION

HOROLOGY (from the Greek meaning literally the study of time) is the art or science of measuring time. Clocks, watches, clockwork, sundials, clepsydras, timers, time recorders and marine chronometers are all examples of instruments used to measure time.

WELCOME TO MY LITTLE SLICE OF THE WORLD WIDE WEB!

I'm Doug, and I live in Overland Park Kansas.  I've been fascinated by clocks and watches all my life so I collect them as I'm able to do so.  I'm not really sure why I'm so drawn to timepieces so much - that's just the way it's been since I can remember.  This website is my chance to share my collection (which really isn't all that big) with the world.  I hope you enjoy looking at them!

What I am:  just a collector currently living in Johnson County, Kansas.  I've been slowly learning the repair side of horology because it's so fascinating.

What I am not:  an expert!  I'm always trying to learn but by no means do I mean for this website to represent me as an expert!  I'll leave that to others - in fact some of them are listed in my "Links" page.

Comments, corrections and further information about my clocks are always welcome.  Sign my guestbook, or send me and e-mail using the "E-MAIL ME" page.
